When designing the SABRE Lite and Nitrogen6X boards, we knew we didn't want to make room for a full-sized JTAG connector and placed the 10-pin micro connector (J13) on the board instead. We thought we'd be able to use an off-the-shelf adapter like like this one directly or that the JTAG vendors would fill this gap.

We were wrong, and customers needing JTAG have been pretty much left on their own to hand-craft JTAG connections in order to use their tools.

In order to fill this need, we're building a daughter board that will convert a standard 20-pin JTAG connector to the 10-pin connector used on the SABRE Lite and Nitrogen6X boards. The schematic is available for download here. If you look closely, you'll see that a number of shunts are provided to hopefully accommodate all of the variations in the standard.

The adapter board will be available soon at a cost of $50USD. Please let us know if you're interested, since we're trying to determine how many of these to build.
