Adding the Ezurio MCP Server to ChatGPT
Prerequisites:
- A ChatGPT Plus, Pro, or Enterprise subscription (Developer Mode is required and only available on these plans).
- The Ezurio MCP Server must be accessible over HTTPS
- An account at www.ezurio.com.
Overview
ChatGPT supports remote MCP servers through its Developer Mode connector feature. Once enabled, you can register the Ezurio MCP server as a custom connector and make its tools available in your ChatGPT sessions. As of December 2025, OpenAI renamed "Connectors" to Apps in the UI, so you may see either term depending on your version.
Custom connectors (Apps) are not verified by OpenAI. Only add MCP servers from sources you trust. An MCP server with write access can modify data in connected systems.
Step 1 – Enable Developer Mode
- Open ChatGPT in your browser or the desktop app.
- Click your profile name or icon in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar.
- Click Settings.
- Navigate to Apps → Advanced settings.
- Toggle Developer Mode to ON.
- When prompted with a warning about unverified apps, confirm to proceed.
Step 2 – Add the Ezurio MCP Server as a Connector
- After enabling Developer Mode, return to Settings → Apps.
- Click Create connector (or New connector / Add new connector — the label may vary by UI version).
Fill in the fields:
- Name:
ezurio-mcp - Description:
Ezurio MCP Server(optional but helpful) - MCP Server URL: Enter the Ezurio MCP server URL
https://mcp.ezurio.com/ez/mcp - Authentication: Select OAuth for authentication (the standard method for ChatGPT connectors).
- Name:
- Click Save or Add.
Step 3 – Authenticate
- After saving the connector, ChatGPT will initiate the authentication flow.
- The Ezurio MCP user uses OAuth. A browser popup or redirect will appear — follow the prompts to authorize ChatGPT to access the Ezurio MCP server.
- Once authentication completes, the connector will show as connected.
Step 4 – Enable the Connector in a Chat
- Start a new chat in ChatGPT.
- Click the "+" menu or the tools/connector icon at the bottom of the chat input area.
- Select Apps and enable Ezurio MCP.
- Apps must be activated on a per-chat basis unless your workspace has them enabled by default.
Step 5 – Verify
- With the connector active, ask ChatGPT a question that would require one of the Ezurio MCP tools.
- ChatGPT will invoke the tool automatically and return results from the Ezurio MCP server.
The Ezurio MCP connector is now set up. You can enable it in any chat session going forward from the connector/apps menu.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Resolution |
|---|---|
| Developer Mode not visible | Confirm you have a ChatGPT Plus, Pro, or Enterprise subscription; this feature is not available on the free tier |
| Connection fails after saving | Verify the MCP Server URL is correct and accessible over HTTPS |
| Authentication error | Confirm you have created an account on www.ezurio.com and are logged in. |
| Tools not available in chat | Ensure the connector is toggled ON in the current chat session via the connector/apps menu |
