What is the difference between Bluetooth Mesh advertising and GATT bearers?

Adverting Bearer uses advertising and scanning to receive and transmit Bluetooth Mesh messages (GAP).The GATT bearer allows a device which does not support the advertising bearer to be part of a Bluetooth Mesh Network via a proxy node.
