Can the PRM240-R2 communicate over the air with existing AC4490 or AC4790 modules?

Answer

No. The PRM240-R2 operates on our Server-Client FlexRF™ FHSS protocol (up to 230 kbps) rather than the legacy AC4x90 protocol. Legacy networks cannot communicate directly over-the-air with PRM nodes, and host software/framing must be updated to match the PRM protocol. The Peer-to-Peer protocol supported on the AC4790 is not supported.
