No. The PRM240-R2 operates on our Server-Client FlexRF™ FHSS protocol (up to 230 kbps) rather than the legacy AC4x90 protocol. Legacy networks cannot communicate directly over-the-air with PRM nodes, and host software/framing must be updated to match the PRM protocol. The Peer-to-Peer protocol supported on the AC4790 is not supported.

No. The PRM240-R2 uses a different physical footprint and interface pinout than the AC4490 series. While it is a direct drop-in replacement for legacy LT1110/PRM240 pluggable U.FL designs, AC4490 customer layouts will require board-level hardware redesign or interface adaptation. Please reference the PRM240-R2 Datasheet for additional information.

Ezurio has released the PRM240-R2  proprietary 900 MHz FHSS module publicly to provide an available 900 MHz option for customers affected by the AC4x90 EOL who need to maintain supply for their applications.

The PRM240-R2 features an onboard U.FL connector for external antenna integration. Modular certifications cover a specific list of approved antennas. Using high-gain directional antennas (such as Yagi antennas) or custom antenna setups outside the approved list will require end-system regulatory testing. Certification documentation and antenna lists are available in section 8 of the PRM240-R2 Datasheet.

No. The PRM240-R2 is available exclusively as a pluggable module with an onboard U.FL connector (Part Number: 453-00418). While it is a direct drop-in replacement for pluggable U.FL LT1110/PRM240 designs, legacy variants with integrated chip/trace antennas or surface-mount (SMD) packaging are not directly replaced by this part number.
